I got together with Mark Henkelis to discuss the current system(s) and how everything hangs together.
He took me through all the stuff he was aware of and the various programs / formats / etc. There are also a bunch of user guides that he put together, which I've received but not yet gone into in any depth.
Some photos from the whiteboard, for what that might be worth - there was mostly animated line drawings going between boxes which probably don't elucidate as much after the fact:
