I don't really have much for this;

I've done some low-level analysis on what the servers do in the Specifications pages (see navbar), but not much on the wider view, not least because I didn't really know what the wider view was.

Mark has put together a big PDF which brings everything together. I'd like to put that on here, but it's probably beyond the pale in terms of information to be put online, so I won't.

I'll briefly go over some of the programs and what they do though...

pdproxy

• sits between ACS and CIS-proper

pdserved

• serves DCI/PD test responses in SIT
• serves NPS responses

pdstub

• serves ACS test responses in PVT

pdedit

• Hmmm... Not sure - from the name, I would guess it edits config
• The arrows on the page appear to point to pdcall and pdacs

pdshow, pddump, pdout

• Grouped together; I suspect that they connect to CIS and output PD dialog structures / formats (?)

Got to be honest, I got more and more lost as I went through the pages. I'll wait til Friday when I can sit with Mark and go through all this.

User doc files

Mark H sent over some 'user doc' files which he passed to the users to tell them what did what - this will be crucial. They are saved to the wiki at:

Further examination / questions, etc.

loadninos.py

only used from pdstubtt.py. It appears to load the "OFFICECSVFILE" (from the config).
